Shoe Size: Felt true to size

It is a nice shoe, and a nice looking one. I am a little concerned because the sole seems to wear down quickly and I do a lot of walking. I always have a hard time finding a fit because I have very high arches and wide feet and use orthotics. This shoe, though, does well. I got the 3X width which seems a little narrow. I think the X size variance might be a little smaller than in other shoes. So this 3x might be closer to New Balance 2x. Perhaps it could use a little more cushioning because I feel every stone I step on even through the sole and the orthotics.
