Darco Men’s & Women’s Surgical Boot for Post-Operative Care has the following features:
- All-purpose medical boot that can be used as a post-operative shoe or cast boot; accommodates fiberglass casts, bulky bandages and other wound dressings
- Square toe design that acts as a bumper when k-wires are present
- Removable EVA that can be customized to off-load pressure points
- Wide sole and deep opening to accommodate dressings, bandages and casts
- Wide ankle strap to provide secure fit, preventing heel slippage
- Rocker bottom to facilitate easy walking stride
- Off-loads up to 25% of plantar pressure from the heel and forefoot
- Motion control construction that reduces unhealthy pronation
- Adjustable forefoot closure that provides secure, adjustable fit
- Comes in four sizes to accommodate most foot shapes
- Recommended for patients suffering from diabetic foot ulcers, severe edema, lymphedema, and trauma injuries such as severe bruising and lacerations
