Darco Wound Care Shoe System for Offloading Lesions has the following features:
- Rocker sole to provide easy ambulation
- Easy hook and loop closure
- Permits offloading ulcers, infected areas, bony prominences on the plantar surface of the foot and protection of other areas of the foot
- Layered insoles that can be modified and punched out to off-weight ulcerations or areas of pressure
- Leather upper lined with Plastazote® material
- Leather upper sections that can be removed without disturbing the liner to remove pressure
- Allows health providers to off-load areas of the foot while you remain ambulatory - In other words, a health provider can cut out areas of the insoles leaving room for wounds to heal and allow less pressure to be felt
- Ideal for diabetics and those with circulatory problems or sensitive feet
